By formulating a strategy, firms determine the direction in which they want to grow and develop. While considering their internal resources and capabilities, firms need to make important strategic decisions in response to the growth opportunities and competitive threats of their environment. A firm needs to assess how it wants to compete and in which markets and capabilities it will invest to sustain its competitive advantage. During this course, students will learn skills and theoretical frameworks to make thoughtful strategic decisions within different industrial environments. A divers set of strategy topics will be covered, like differentiation, diversification, vertical integration and entry.
