The design studio adaptive reuse takes an existing site as the starting point for a programme of adaptive reuse. Numerous programmes are possible: residence, cultural activities, offices, hotel rooms, a restaurant, ... The student goes through a development process: from the invention of an academically sound concept to the creation of a spatial design and other relevant aspects of the process of adaptive reuse.

| Conditions | Presence during the sessions of the design studio is obligatory and the student needs to make a weekly report of the studio guidance. Every absence should be legitimized by the student. If a task or work piece cannot be handed in in time, the guidelines communicated on Blackboard need to be followed. |

| Consequences | In case of illegitimate absence, the current task needs to be completed entirely. Not handing in a task of work piece on the communicated day and hour (unless legitimate reasons apply) results in a 0 for that task. |
