These are papers with high impact in research, including papers which open up a new research field, which lead to the development of innovative techniques, to the development of a novel research topic or to the development of innovative treatment for human diseases. - can identify criteria for research with high impact - is able to critically analyse and discuss milestone papers in depth - is able to formulate innovative follow-up research based on the combination of innovative technical papers and the milestone paper analysed - applies this to his/her own research field of interest
