Content

The results obtained during the senior internship (4153) are written down in the Master's thesis. This manuscript should encompass at least the following elements: summary, introduction and aims, materials and methods, results and critical discussion of the obtained results. International literature in the specific research field should be referenced in this thesis. Afterwards, the results are presented and defended in an oral presentation and a poster presentation.

Conditions The evaluation consists of multiple parts. Students need to pass for all parts of the evaluation to pass the course.

Oral exam: Presentation and defense + poster + vlog

The evaluation of the Master's thesis is done by the principal supervisor and an independent second examiner based on specific elements such as content, argumentation, scientific presentation, etc. In addition, the oral presentation and defense of the master's thesis and poster will be scored by a jury.

The content of this course is master specific, as is the associated grant writing and senior internship. This means that when registering for another master's specialisation, grant writing (4143), senior internship (4153) and master's thesis (4151) have to be part of the academic program of this specialisation (no exemption).
