Content

Case study: design assignment in groups: renovation of existing building into a sustainable, zero energy (no fossil fuels) building taking into account the integration and assessment of architectural, constructive and sustainable performances with regard to energy, water, material use and biodiversity. The design is evaluated by means of a jury of internal and external experts outside the examination period.

Conditions Attendance and active collaboration at all sessions (workshops, lectures, tutoring sessions) is compulsory.
Consequences In case of unjustified absence, the group score of the student will be corrected based on the number of unjustified absences.
Additional information The score per student is composed of a group score for the part that is executed as a group, adapted per student based on self and peer assessment, and an individual score for the part that is executed individually.

Explanation (English)In case a whole group fails, an improved version of the assignment report has to be submitted. There is no oral presentation. In case an individual student fails, he/she gets an adapted individual assignment related to the topic of this course.
 

Compulsory course material
 

There is no syllabus for this course. Presentations by the professors and of guest lectures, as well as additional study material will become available on Blackboard. Students will also have to search for extra study material relevant for the assignment.
