Throughout the 20th century HRM has developed into a broad discipline, that is practiced both within the HR-department (job rating, ...) and outside (leadership, ...). Ideally always in reciprocal consideration and reliable cooperation. This course attempts to offer the students a broad basic knowledge that allows them to function better as an employer or as an executive in their future organization. Knowledge that will be valuable to them, even though they do not aspire to a career within the HR-department. On the other hand this basis will be made sufficiently strong and broad to make them able to study partial domains of HRM more profoundly. In this way future HR-professionals will also be prepared to start there subsequent studies optimally.
The course includes the following chapters: 1. HRM: concept, history, mission, economic and psychological frameworks 2. Job description, analysis and valuation 3. Recruitment 4. Selection 5. Socialization of new employees 6. Performance management 7. Management of outflow
