The student has insight in the physical and biochemical properties of surfaces, interfaces and nanomaterials.
The student can explain different methods for the chemical and biological activation of surfaces (covalent and non-covalent).
The student has insight in synthesis and applications of biomaterials and nanomaterials.
The student can explain various experimental techniques which can be used to modify and characterize surfaces and select a suitable technique for a specific nanotechnology/biomedical application.
